YO GEORGIANS! :)

HELP Please My 8 assorted babies came in from My Pet Chicken today. Seven are happily acting like chicks drinking and eating, sleeping and pooping. One is not. My poor husband has been tending this baby all day as they came in while I was at work. My little baby keeps throwing her head back and flinging her legs straight out, she wants to flip o to her back. Per the advice of a rep at the supplier my sweetie has nested her up in a towel to keep her uptight, feeding her sugar water ever 30 minutes and has her safe from the others yet still under the edge of the heat lamp. Please if any one has any ideas my poor hubby is taking it hard, e is such a trooper.

i would try some pedialyte and honey and keep it in a cozy area but not too warm as she may have had an issue iwth it being too hot.

Poor baby! Bless your hearts, I wish I had advice for you

I hope you & your hubs are able to nurse the wee one back to good health! Keep us posted on its progress!!

Fayette county here too! I'm on lockdown of my first ever incubation. I have 17 LF Cochins eggs that will hopefully hatch Thursday. What type of chickens do you have?

We don't have any yet. We can't wait to get a few, but we are getting all the information and recommendations for a coop and types of chickens. We want fresh eggs for our family. How long have you been raising them?

Welcome wee ones to Paterson's Poultry Plantation & Garden (My Scottish Mother in Law and my Scottish Aunt gave that their seal of approval :)
My two white silkies, EE, Golden & Silver Laced Wyandottes, Buff Orpington & Astralorp are healthy and dong well. My brooder is a large ring of cardboard just big enough for me to step in at one point to tend them. When I do they all make a mad rush toward me. They like crawling all over my hands, especially the little buffy. My tiny EE is fearless leap frogging off the backs of the others if they are in the way of her ever changing destination. I think the poor little baby we lost was my Barred Rock, she looked like she never had a chance on arrival yesterday.
