well I think I knew it was coming but I didn't think so soon. I am going to have to do something with my flock and start all over again =o( We are moving to Idaho, and apparently it's happening by the end of august =o( I can't bring the chickens or the coop we are almost finished building..I want to cry all that hard work into the coop and all for naught, now I hope I can sell it cause I dropped 800 on it. Hopefully I can enjoy some eggs before we have to sell them.

Where would I go to sellt hem or what would you do?

Don't ask me....hubby and I moved our 21 chickens (mostly banties/seramas though) in pet carriers, in a suburban with us...from AZ to GA.... (we are nuts, I freely admit)

I have 29 and they are all regular sized birds. I love my brahmas and cochins. If I thought I could move them I would but I have two cats, three dogs and three kids and i just don't see being able to move them =o(

that is all we are taking is a uhaul trailer full...starting basically all over. it will be ok but i jsut have to find a buyer for the coop and my birds by the time we move. We will survive and we can start over with chickens it's not the end of the world right?

No, not the end of the world, but sad nonetheless. I'm sorry!

Where are you located?

I am in Athens,
I have a 16x4 coop and 29 birds.
mostly pullets and a couple oops roos
2 buff orptington one roo one pullet
2 black jersey giants one roo one pullet
2 light brahma
2 ameracaunas
4 white cochin
2 gold laced wyandotte
2 red sexlinks
2 light brown leghorns
3 black cochin i believe one is a roo but not sure
6 easter eggers/ameracaunas/ speckled sussex mixes from my hatch. I got the eggs from a friend and they are just mixed he had a dominique roo, a speckled sussex roo, and a blue laced red wyandotte roo and hens of all those and easter eggers.

10 of them are near ready to lay and then i have some a little younger and then some that are a month old

my coop is 16x4. I would like to keep the chickens until just before we move so we can continue to enjoy them. the coop i just want to get out of it what I paid and the chickens I'm not sure I guess i should look around for prices,

we will get chickens again when we move but I think we are going to focus on cochin, brahmas, and silkies. not sure my kids can['t decide and love them all
