I think one of the Araucanas I got from FL may be a male. This chick is the real tailless chicken. Although it doesn't look like this one has tuffs. If it is a male, I would like to sell it for $10, which is what I paid for it. Really nicer one in the 3 I got. Anyone interested?

Lost a bird this morning, pretty sure it was a raccoon. The ONE time I forget to close the coop at night. Lucky we only lost one I suppose.

I blame myself, the only access to the coop is in the run, but instead of making a proper roof for the run, I just put chicken wire over it, looks like a critter got in through a gap. Spent the morning making a proper roof for the run and double checking every inch of the coop and run. I live in the city, and have seen some pretty big opossums in the neighborhood, and a raccoon or two. I really think that whatever did it will probably be back tonight, so I'm tempted to set up a chair in the backyard and wait for whatever it was.
