YO GEORGIANS! :)

I just had a funny thought. I was thinking "You know, my bantam hen might go broody again right around the time those goose eggs come in..."

But then I remembered the size difference, and had a mental image of a broody BANTAM trying her best to cover up an entire goose egg! HAH!

Hello! I've not had time this week to get here. I just read through about ten pages of posts. It was good to get caught up with you all. Sorry for any losses and so glad for new chicks and other good news.

I'm really starting to think about hatching eggs for the coming year. I'm excited to add new breeds to my chicken hobby. (haha if that's what you let me get away with calling it) Anyway, I'm looking for just about anything I don't already have and I'm also interested if anyone has some full bred Black Australorp hatching eggs to sell or, even better, trade for something I have in my Chicken Gang. I'm also looking for some white egg layers hatching eggs. Would love to get some buff or black silkies eggs, too.

I have blue copper marans and lavender arauncana roosters. I also have for hens: one each of blueCM and lavender arauncana and will have them separated to get full bred eggs and chicks from them. I also have some EEs, black australorp, RIR, new hampshire reds which will lay mixed breeds. I am going to put my EEs with the arauncana rooster so they will be blue egg layers. I can also get OE from my Gang.

Getting excited for my first girl that goes broody this year. Since I depend on my broody hens to hatch eggs it is always sort of last minute getting news eggs so I'd like to line a few things up for when it happens. Last year my first broody started the first week of March.

Just 2 eggs left to go. And they are being quiet right now (still alive though, just checked) so I am seriously considering a nap!
