Awesome. That gives me PLENTY of time and that's my new goal. Hmmm what to hatch.. My only certainty is Marans.. I'm considering some gold laced brahma if I like the looks of the ones I look at.. IF this near-useless lavender AM would EVER lay me an egg I'd hatch it (lol), and then if I have room maybe a barnyard mix or too from my lav roo and RSL/BSL? Those might be some strange looking birds huh?

Generally that's the case in my line of work too. But I finagled my way into a fairly sweet deal early on, lol. Didn't take me but two winters to find out this princess does NOT condone getting stuck at work away from her bed and family! :rofl:

No talkin nummies when I dont have milk in my house! Not fair Christy...lol I can make a plain cheesecake and not share it. It doesnt need milk. I am PMS ing in the house without sweets or salty snacks. Ugghhh.
Changing subject lol
Bathed my silkie hen, she seemed depressed and now is all perky. Her man Russell was bout to break down the doggie gate to get to her if I didnt bring her back! What a turd. She is all bright white and makes him look like poo lmbo. If I have the energy I will bathe and blow dry him tomorrow. Crossing fingers that the power doesn't go out for real. It flickered twice today and scared me! Our primary heat source is electric and no generator or wood backup! My broody hen hasnt moved I put more bedding in with her. Thinking about putting a heater out there with them tomorrow. The only heat is the lamp above their water. I gave broody hen some mac n cheese and she ate it...she shouldget up to poo soon. I HOPE. She ate the day before too.(Little cup in the nest tote) How often do they get up and do their thing??

Glad your crew is okay!! Usually once a day they get up (well, ducks anyway), but I'm pretty sure I've heard in harsh weather they may not even do that. Could get interesting!

We've had frozen trees/branches falling all night. Scared the voo doo hoo doo outta me. It's snowing like crazy *insert look of disgust* I am not happy. Oh, and to top it off the small table by my bed collapsed ( courtesy of my 2yo) and the screw came out of my glasses so now I'm blind. I am holding my phone about an inch from my nose to type this. ugh!

Oh no! Im glad that yall are ok though. Maybe it will get better later today. I know our temps down here are suppose to get up to 50 today! Praying for all of yall in NG
