I don't know where you're at, but someone in Cartersville has chicks listed on Craigslist and I emailed her to check on hatching eggs and she has EEs.

The Welsummer eggs have arrived! 3 detached air cells, but look good otherwise. I'm letting them rest for 24 hours (they were laid on Sunday) and will put in the incubator in the morning with the eggs I'm getting today locally.

I have to go to work now. And I'm taking GAMaransJR with me. Then I'm taking her birthday shopping and to Chuck E Cheese for dinner. This gives you people plenty of time to work with GA and come up with new and evil ways to screw with me.

Thanks; I am terrible with GA geography/maps of cities -google maps and my GPS are my best friends - but I'll check it out. I've lived here in GA. for 16 years, but I'm from Ct. I learned to drive in CT., got married, and had my first house there; I only seem to be able to retain location info here for 3 counties around me, max!

Ahaha! That would be about an hour and 10 minutes away -I almost never find stuff I'm looking for nearby!

Does anyone know anything about the quail often posted on Craigslist in Griffin? I'm really wanting to try quail out too.

Good Morning (early afternoon?) Everybody

I've been thinking about birds a bunch this week. No surprise, given the addiction issues we all seem to encourage in each other . So, I've come to the conclusion that if I'm going to get EE chicks this year, I'd like to find some as soon as possible -like now- or I'll probably wait until next spring. We will be out of town at the end of April, and I'd rather not ask my critter sitters to care for a full brooder -again. Or should I say, my critter sitter would prefer if I don't do that again, lol., especially since the rabbitry kind of doubled since the last trip! If I wait until after, I won't get pretty eggs until around October .  So, Anyone got any leads on EE chicks available real soon?
