Maybe it also helps because they say the longer eggs sit WITHOUT incubation, the lower the hatch rate, and I'm always putting the absolute freshest eggs in there, because they were laid that day. So I don't have that extra "sit around" time on any of the eggs.
Just a thought. But it has been working for me quite well, so I'm sticking with it. Over 50 chicks in the brooder at once can't be wrong... (that was the count this past Friday before three people came and bought chicks over the weekend).
