YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hey LTygress, if I were to have a brown egg from your place (which I clearly don't -just hypothetically speaking...), what would it be again? Barred Rock and...?

IF you were to have one from here... I mean IF... it would be 3/4 EE, 1/4 Plymouth Rock

OOPS! I almost forgot;

Who here was looking for Buff Orpingtons? I have twelve eggs in the incubator due to hatch on the 28th, and I have three more on the kitchen counter that I can either put in the incubator or the fridge -trying to decide which. So, if someone is looking for hatching eggs or soon-to-be chicks, I can help you (I can add to the hatching eggs by 3-4 each day).

I think my brother-in-law MAY have one somewhere out in that over-stuffed barn. If not, his best friend almost definitely has one.

But another part of the challenge is how it's resting. It's hard to describe, and I doubt I could do justice to the situation with pictures. But I think the shrubs/trees behind the pen are actually willows (they bend and droop naturally). The main trunk is leaning against those. They are relatively thin to the trunk of the chopped tree, but So the main trunk wants to come forward and down - towards the pen. But that's where you would have to stand to cut the smaller branches off of the pen and the net. So it's like you'll be standing right where everything wants to fall when the support is taken away. It's just a precarious situation.

I wish he would have AT LEAST listened to what I said about HOW to cut the tree down before doing it. The trunk is at least 8-10 inches across, and he didn't wedge it. He just cut it straight through and shoved it off of the stump.

You know, those might look good with the ameracuana eggs I'm getting next week..... good grief, I'm such an addict.
