This "gro gel" stuff.. Do they sell it at TSC? And if so how much is it? I don't see it online and I'm trying to make myself a list with prices for chicken stuff. Do y'all use the gel? Or just starter? What do you do? I just want big healthy babies. :)
 
You want to be the "organizer"?
I can do the math parts (who owes how much, split shipping, total number of chicks to be ordered, etc.). You could collect money and place the order.

I don't use it. Never have. Mcmurray hatchery uses it when they send chicks in the mail, but I haven't used it myself, just starter feed.
 
Thank you. I guess it won't be any different from my ducks really, I just give them starter and they are always PLUMP buggers. Just wasn't sure if most give chicks an extra boost. :)

Nah, not at all. If you want chicks to grow VERY large, you can feed them extra protein. But they might also develop problems that way, from the excessive fast growth.
 
Okay, bed time. I have work tomorrow. Don't forget, if you guys want, we'll be checking out babies at TSC in Griffin tomorrow soon after 4-pm or so!

I had to watch really close...it was really fast lol the embryo is @ Day#6 under momma silkie in the livingroom nest :D
