I have a funny to share:
I was out raking my yard to plant....grass for the chickens and I let my only 2 that aren't being broody out to free range within eyesight. I have 2 resident hawks. Anyway my roo was showing off and he is a little white silkie and the hen is a big RIR who is the boss around here lol. She is chicken talkin to me while he is crowin away and I told him to shut up or she's gonna get ya...like she did before. (She assaulted him and I found him laying on his back comb all bloodied before I separated them) not 5 mins later she walked right up to him stood in front of him like she dared him to crow, and HE DID. She pecked him right square in the head and he came runnin to ME! I was bustin a gut laughin so hard!! He followed me everywhere after that including into the wooded area lil chicken puss lmbo!
Everyone followed me back inside and is in their pens. My silkies will never be full time outside chickens , but I am using tax return money to make a large bird pen thats hawk proof with a nice sized run. I will only free range when I am out with them
 
Any of you guys know anything about Polish chickens? I have one who I think (hope, pray) is a girl and I think is a blue Polish?!? I'm so new to this - ahhhh!!!
