YO GEORGIANS! :)

First the weather, then I looked out and my horse was down AGAIN. He's not full blown but he's off just enough to worry me.

There went my sleep for the night! :(

oh the 20 gauge is loaded with 00 buck. eye for a eye tooth for a tooth. what comes around goes around.vengance shall be mine.

I know we have a right to defend our livestock, but I'm not real handy with firearms. I could tell you my solution, but I'd have to kill you ;). I have to keep it a secret so that you all have plausible deniability when dogs near my farm have problems. I all seriousness, I've spent the last 25 years dealing professionally with dogs, but in cases like this the dog has to go. It's not the dog's fault, but it can't be allowed to continue. Irresponsible cretins with dogs really mess things up for those of us who kill ourselves to do the right thing :(.

Beckyb and buddy.. I am so sorry you're dealing with this. I can tell you from experience that, with this kind of owner, the problem won't be gone until the dog is gone. "Ok I'll keep him up.." For a few months tops.. Then it starts all over again.

Best of luck to you guys. :(

e called animal control , the owners tied it up for 3 days n then they let him off n it hasnt stoped. maybe it will now

@beckyb and buddy, is your yard fenced? Where I live (Spalding Co.) If your yard isn't fenced animal control can not do anything other than right a citation for violating the leash laws. If it is fenced, you can shoot the dog and tell the cop/ac worker it was attacking the chickens and you were afraid it would turn on you.
