So.. How come when you buy "Mallards" from a feed store, they don't tell you all of this? Or is it just posted somewhere obscure? I mean, the parents can be specially marked.. But their offspring won't be, particularly if one isn't familiar with these laws.
I guess it just seems like something thst would be difficult to investigate, aside from catching someone robbing a known wild nest or snagging a wild bird..
I guess we would just have to keep the feed store receipts.
I know I've bought a mallard from a feed store before (definitely NOT a rouen, that girl could seriously fly). And she wasn't marked in any way, nor did I get any kind of paperwork for her.
