YO GEORGIANS! :)

You know, I wasn't even paying attention ... what did you take from me?  Black Copper or Blue Copper?  I think I need to start sticking bar codes on my chicks' butts so I can keep up better.  scan, beep!

Lol. You said both but they all look black currently. When it's nice out again, I'll get them out in the sun and check.

I have to check on Helen's eggs. They are due any day now... my egg didnt make it. It died abt day 18. Wondering if there was too much movement? It was perfect white feathers and only a tiny hole inthe abdomen, but still had a sizeable yolk sac. I candled it Mon night before bed and saw a cloud of death, so I cracked it open to se what was what. So perfect, so close... oh well. I will try again!
Awww!

I only got one out of my refrigerator eggs because of the incubator issues. I need to get a pic and update that thread, though.

Uh oh...I just got an incubator! I blame all of you Georgians. LOL! Guess getting eggs next. Otherwise it would be wasted.
Next thing you need to do... IS MOVE HERE! LOL!

So, how many EE eggs do I need to put you down for? *readies the pen*

MY EGGS ARE IN ATLANTA!!!! These are Lavender Copper Marans (project breed) and I am soooo excited! Plus, I got a really great deal on them too.

You did get a good deal on them. But I'm still cautious until I see some hens, lol!

I have silkies, FBCM, barnyard mix up, and a pair of Lav AMs. I also have an AM/EE (she's an Ameracuana but not an accepted color) who is currently with the Marans but will move in with the AMs later on.

Oohhh...Lav AMs could really work for me - I don't have anything in that color and have been looking for AMs. Hmmm...what color silkies do you raise?

Do you have any pictures of your stock?

Nothing recent ( have to buy more cloud storage ugh!). But it's something I need to do

Oooh, if you're ever down around Griffin of Jackson, I may need to get some hatching eggs for the LF White Cochins!

That's the ONE color I haven't been able to find! But this spring, I'm getting Silver Laced, and Blue, which of course also creates black and splash. But I'm going to cross the blue with the SL to try and get Blue laced silver as well (it'll take two generations though).

Those sound cool. I have two white pullets - no roo. I traded some birds with a breeder in New York to use the whites for a project pen. The project I'm starting should yield some whites though!
