YO GEORGIANS! :)

The packaging was awesome. Even if I did almost have a nervous breakdown trying to get to the eggs. It took me half an hour to free all 23 eggs from the self adhesive bubble wrap. With cuticle scissors.

That actually makes me nervous. I shipped out Frizzle eggs last year and I know for a fact they were fertile. But it turns out none of them hatched, and the person who received them was a veterinarian and told me it's probably because they didn't get enough oxygen during shipment (they only went to Canton). So I've been EXTREMELY cautious since then about sealing the bubble wrap completely around the eggs. Usually I wrap them as much as possible in paper products to allow for "breathing". So I put them in paper mache cartons and put a single layer of bubble wrap between the eggs and the lid to keep them still inside of the carton. Then I stuff shredded paper in the box as filler.

I'm really hoping yours hatch. I really, REALLY want to see the results of this color! Plus, it would prove that bubble wrap isn't as bad as the lady said, and I can use it again. (Although shredded paper really is cheaper since I'm always tossing junk mail in the shredder).

My roosters are serenading me, requesting my prompt presence at the coops for their breakfast.

1. I haven't finished my coffee yet
2. It's cold
3. I haven't finished my cofee yet

They had good breathing space, I was just petrified of putting too much pressure on them.
BTW, my mottled AMs are on day 4. 6 out of 12 are developing nicely. Since the shipped from San Diego I'm guessing that's pretty good.

I'm in the same boat. All 7 of mine are currently having a crowing contest.

The neighbor way down the street (same one with the guineas that I almost ran over yesterday) has several RIRs. His roosters crow all night long, and apparently mine have decided to "answer" them each time, too. So now most of my roos crow all night long. I'm just thankful they are over 100 feet away from the house!

Nice. Well, now you can enjoy the same 2am seranading that I do.
