I JUST read that the other night and wondered the same thing!! These are gold laced but I would think it's Brahmas as a whole.This is interesting because if I remember correctly, my research on light brahmas said they often matured slower than other breeds. It could be the Columbian Wyandottes that I'm confusing them with though...

I've read that everything about Brahmas is slower, developing, maturing, laying... However I have a buff and a light that have kept pace with the others. Then again, mine are hatchery birds. I think good heritage breeds of any kind would be slower than hatchery.
Brahmas are probably like Cochins slow at everything! Mine are REALLY slow runners! They are so fluffy they can't go anywhere! Lol!
