YO GEORGIANS! :)

Sweet. Got room for a 35' camper in your driveway?

<<<<<<< for LTygress

Don't laugh too hard. That's what my sister wants me to get to live on her property. My own "house" of sorts.

LOL. One thing we do have plenty of, is driveway. That camper would look suh-WEET next to hubby's trailer.. And the patio table.. And the chairs.. And the old stump I refuse to burn because I think it's cool.. And the burn barrel..
I luv ya..... and I'd luv ya more if you'd answer my pm..... but parking my camper in YOUR driveway does not get me any closer to Piedmont NWR when I'm hunting down there like LTygress's driveway does. Now if only there was a BYCer who actually lived on the road that goes through Piedmont, now THAT would be double sweet!.

Did you ever do the surgery on this chicken?  Just do like in the video.  Wrap her legs in a towel and pluck or cut some of the feathers from her chest.  Make about a 1-2 inch incision with a razor blade knife (be sure and sterilize it first)..  Just reach in a finger and pull out all the gunk.  clean it out as best you can.  Most people either sew it up with needle and thread or super glue it back together.  (There will be two layers of skin that will have to be put back together.   The outer skin and the crop. If possible, do one at a time,  If not, you can do it all at one time.   The chicken usually takes this all in rather calmly.  Good luck!

question: can I use a strong sewing thread? I haven't been able to find any thread for medical stitches. I've lost 2 hens to sour crop. Tried 2 different methods. The last is surgery. I wil do this next time.

Not laughing.... But I only need 3 nights a year, usually in November. How many eggs do you charge for site rent and hook up? lol

I'd have to ask my sister, since it's her property. If it were up to ME, I'd say three cotton patch eggs next spring, lmao!

I live in Orchard Hills. Don't have chickens yet, they come tomorrow. They are a gift. As well I now have two baby ducks that my daughter bought :D the chickens I'm getting are approx. 1 yr old
