Hi from not-quite-as far south . I have been wanting to try quail, and keep seeing the ads for the place in Griffin, but didn't know anyone who'd used them before. How do you like the quail? My biggest concerns are the noise (heard they can be noisy -but so are my roosters), and the frail chicks (heard they are harder than chickens).

We're something anyway. And this rooster is...ahem....very excited about taking care of his business. That poor girl in there with him is looking tired. I think I'll give him a couple more girls next week.

You're telling me! He's an all nighter. But he's pretty so he won't be going to freezer camp.

I hear ya. I can't WAIT to see what his babies look like. I'm on the fence wehther to keep a couple and see if a son of his might turn out as pretty as him. As long as I don't keep it right outside my bedroom wall like he was I'm fine with crowing all night too, lol.
