@GAMarans I may even hit you up for another egg swap/purchase.. You got me some blacks separated off yet? I've honestly thought, maybe since my GL Brahma didn't end up with a good viability, maybe that's my sign to go for all BCM instead. lol

If you WANT chicks from TSC, best time to go is Monday and Tuesday. They get day-old chicks every Monday morning, unless it's a holiday.

And no coop building party for me. First, I probably have to work. Second, I've got to do the same thing at my own house! My McMurray Hatchery babies have barely a month to go before they arrive!


And what are you using PVC for? I just had the wild idea of creating a chicken coop using PVC pipe as the frame. Maybe that would make it lighter and easier to move... AND maybe cheaper too!

Hoop coops! They'll be lighter as well as cheaper. And they'll look a whole lot better than the ghetto shelters I have now.
