YO GEORGIANS! :)

What am I doing wrong? I am using my iPhone app, click on the picture, submit, I get a popup that says it's embedding but then it's not there...

I have that same problem with my tablet. Usually I have to post the picture by itself for it to work.

It's not much different than processing a chicken. Hang it neck down to bleed it then process it skinning is done after its empty.

Except the deer is 100x heavier. We use a pulley to hoist it up off the ground while skinning it. Then we use a saws all to cut the deer up.

Whew!! 13 pages to read through to catch up :). That'll teach me to spend two days away! Here's my two days worth of update from my end: besides critter stuff, I had a bunch of household stuff to do. My oldest kid turned 20 yesterday, and I alternated between celebrating her birthday and being in shock over the whole thing; especially since we're planning the youngest's 4th birthday next month!

I have decided that reading the thread backwards to catch up is the easiest thing to do, because I don't lose my place a million times trying to reply to someone, getting sent to the current page, and forgetting what page I left off. However, that makes keeping names/posts straight nearly impossible, so sorry in advance. I love hearing about the new chick/egg updates and seeing photos, and I also feel your pain when something doesn't go well or a husband needs to be smacked upside the head (ok, not really, because hitting is never nice...but we can visualize it over and over again to help us feel better!).

I wound up with 11 of 12 Orpingtons out of Friday's hatch, which was awesome. The one that didn't make it lost momentum halfway through zipping and didn't make it, so fertility and development were 100%, and that is something. I did lose a chick out of the bunch last night to being smothered under its siblings though, and that always makes me sad. My EEs and LB are doing great, and that brings the chick count to 25. My post-surgery hen was almost ready to be released back to her coop, but got crazy and picked at the incision at the last minute, opening it up. So she's back on crate rest with a bandage -which she hates, and has resorted to pecking the snot out of me when I have to mess with her.

..End of novel

Alright i had to get on the computer since I can't seem to get them to load through the app.

So cute!!! And so jealous of your brooder! I think this is what I'll budget for next year, before the spring chicken madness starts ;)

I tried to see if I could find a setting that might make my pop-up issues with BYC better, but I only managed to rearrange the view on my desktop -weird. AND I can't tag anyone, so:

Christine9, it was you with the kitties and who wanted eggs, right? (I can't get the search function to work :/) I could meet you part way, if that would help; I know it's a long haul, so if you don't mind meeting somewhere, that can be arranged. Totally your call.

abmaddox, At the risk of sounding crazy (too late, I know), how are your bunnies doing? I have a NZ doe due Friday, but I'm hoping she'll go early in the day. If you are still planning on hitting up the auction, I'd love to go too. I may bring some mixed bunnies and a NZ or two, to offset any potential purchases, lol.

LTygress, I almost said that I'd come get some Sumatra eggs from you -almost. My husband has decided the little Sumatra mix chick I got from you is his favorite, even knowing it's most likely a roo. I showed him pics of the adults online, and he really likes them a lot. If I thought he'd take an active role in their care, I might get him more.

And to the newest folks I haven't welcomed yet, welcome to the group :)

It's me with the kitties. I can meet you part way. Whatever works for you! How does the middle of next week sound?

Quit talking about bunnies though. Or I may need some LOL I only have the little dutch boy. (And I'm not sure how hubby would feel about me springing building a hutch on him...)

Oh good! see, I knew I was bound to mess up a name -sorry :/! The middle of next week sounds great; just message me with the route you'll be taking, and whether you'd prefer to come to the farm or meet somewhere along the way. I'm totally flexible. I'll save some bunnies for you too then? Haha, just kidding...mostly ;)
