Had to share this. My other cat got introduced to the chicks yesterday, after spending hours staring at them through a window. He tried to jump in there with them. I took one out and them him sniff it. He started to rub it with his face, lol. My cats don't bother the grown chickens, but I want to make sure the cats understand the babies are off limits too. I got a pic or 2 coming

Might be a good idea to take out a nail clipper and trim kitty's nails. If your cats playfully paw at one of the chicks and it causes a tiny accidental scratch that could be fatal.

Cats often carry Pasteurella, it is no problem for them, or dogs, or humans but birds will die very very quickly if they are exposed by a scratch or bite. Quickly as in start treating within a few hours or birdie will be dead.
