Oh, we have unnamed birds on the farm each spring -the "dinner chickens". Our turkeys don't have names, but they are breeders. I just coI ldn't think of good names for them.

We'll begin to have year-round dinner chickens, so we'll always have some without names. I'm planning on banding the keepers by age to be sure that I can keep better track of my birds.

Also gave the chicks some dried meal worms yesterday and a little cup of sand. They seemed to like the meal worms and ate the cup of sand... About 1/2 cup! I figured they would just peck at it a little but when I went back in about 3 hours later it was empty! I was planning on putting sand in the brooder as bedding, now I'm not so sure!

I have a Delaware. She is my loudest and bossiest by far. I hope she doesn't turn mean or she will have to get eaten.
 
OMG Y'all. I'm gonna have to stay AWAY from this house this weekend!! Otherwise I'll spend the whole thing staring at motionless EGGS!!! :c
