YO GEORGIANS! :)

I'll be glad when them warm weather comes back......
Me and you both. I was out taking down old fence today and then watched my neighbor climb a tree to tie a rope to it so we can cut it down tomorrow and pull it with a truck to make sure it falls where we want it. I was freezing. But then my thermometer in the truck said it was 50. It was a DANG cold 50 is all I can say.

Well, after having a horrible day. I'm standing at the sink doing dishes and look out the window. I ask my DH to come over and look, then tell me what you see. He looks and says, hey look at that, after three weeks your Fifth chicken is back. It's not in the run' but I closed the girls in the coop and left the door open to the run and put feed out......never know

I can eat my Marans!? Good to know!

Howdy everybody! I am new to the whole chickens deal as an adult, and glad to be here. My wife and I just moved back to my family farm in South Georgia ( I moved away when I was 8-9). We had chickens, and I want to get that tradition started again for my first child that is on the way (May 16th). Any tips and advice is welcome!

Welcome! And congrats on the baby :)

Hi to our other newbies, as well!!

I have had a busy day and tomorrow will be the same. Will catch up with you at some point! Ya'll play nice!

Question: I only "want" 6 chickens and we have 6 chicks but well.... we know they don't always work out. So I was thinking I would hatch a few eggs for the Easter Hatch Along. I would like heritage eggs but have no idea where I could get just three of them. Also what bator could I get for just three eggs?

(I live near Augusta GA and my husband is used to going all over the place for what I want. LOL)
