YO GEORGIANS! :)

Why oh why are the small ones more costly than the bigger ones? Eeeep!

So you can hatch more eggs! "See honey, the Big one is actually cheaper! But we have to fill it up, because you know it won't work right otherwise. Besides, not ALL the eggs will hatch anyways." ;)

You'd be surprised, my 4 chickens talk back when I talk to them, the difference is that I usually don't know what they're saying unless it's in the morning and they need food or water and I haven't been out to check yet. Beware though, they know the hand that feeds them

I use "fine" pine shavings during the Spring, Summer, and Fall and usually alfalfa in the Winter. I haven't had any get impacted crop (Knock on wood). I've only have 16 total though, so I don't have any horror stories to tell you, but I'm sure the others do!

Good point. That is what I was meaning. I guess we can imagine what the chickens are saying when it is not morning time. At least make a funny conversation in your head...

Ok I need help from all of you !! Went out because the girls were a squawking to come out!! No sign of other chicken :( let them ou,t shut the run door, came in, looked out the window. They start coming out of the coop and here comes the other chicken to meet them. How do I catch this chicken without running all over, which I'm not going to do lol ??????? Ideas ??? I did leave food out for her last night

Well, my doomed hatch took its final swift circle 'round the crapper this afternoon.

But long story short, I ended up with one sweet, SASSY little baby. :love
