I know... and sell eggs!
I have some chicken coop questions.
1) We're thinking of taking out one of the solid metal panels in the roof and replacing it with a translucent panel. Good or bad idea?
2) I want to paint the inside of the coop. I know, I know, but you have to understand that I'm in the "make it pretty" business and I can't help myself! Is there anything I should be aware of before I do this? I'm going to paint it white or a very light color like a light beige. Any thoughts?
Fine by me! LOL!Auction night has apparently become girls' night out on the south side. Lmao
I am the unhappy husband who she is talking about! Yes, I do believe there is a potential mental disorder when you start with 4 chickens and now we have 35. She swore on our marriage of 41 years that if I got her 8, she would never ask for another one. We peaked at 60 and she had no idea she had that many. Thanks to acts of God and bears, we are down now to 35 and she wants more! I can only believe that there has to be a common disease or disorder, there is something wrong. I am sure I will get no sympathy from anyone on here, but I assure you, there are many like me suffering!

Better yet - follow that example and just remember they provide food for you.Dear Mr. Flowerbh,
My husband graciously allowed me to order 25 chicks from McMurray as part of my Christmas gift. It has been a few years since I've had chickens and my flock never was more than 13 birds. The order of 25 became 30 (+1 "free rare breed"). Then he let me buy an incubator and hatching eggs. 31 became 50. I am getting 4 more in about 2 weeks and I have 16 more eggs in the incubator on day 9.
He's getting ready to build me a Whizbang plucker and we're gonna eat the extras. LOL
Embrace the chicken love, Mr. Flowerbh. There's no need to suffer!

Dishwasher! LG!? Whaaaat!Quick note: The new LG incubator no longer fits in the top level of the dishwasher. That means two separate runs for the incubator, each with one piece of styrofoam. But thankfully there are PLENTY of normal dishes to do as well, so I'm putting the incy parts in the bottom, and the normal dishes in the top.
