If you are feeding them a crumbled starter or grower feed, then no. They only need grit to grind up things like fresh veggies, whole grains, dried corn, etc. But a crumbled feed is already ground up small enough for them to digest, so they should be fine.

What in the world did abmaddox and bargain give to me?

First a black hen that, when bred to a white male, gave me a partridge, and now this from the same pair?

It's not blue. They come out looking like a blueish grey. Not white. But maybe a lav? Or a porcelain? Man, porcelain silkies would be really nice! But the hen came from abmaddox and the roo from bargain. And I'm getting a whole plethora of colors here!

Just realized the sun and camera settings kinda darkened the overall color. But this little guy is actually VERY yellow with tips of the down in a blueish color. He's actually really pretty, and I'm probably keeping it regardless of whether it is male or female. At the very least, I want to see what this one ends up looking like as an adult!

There is someone in Cumming that is kinda close to Gainesville, with several breeds.

And I think ChristyinGA is in that area, too.
