YO GEORGIANS! :)

Yea, I argued with the lady at ruckers. Told her she shouldn't be selling her EEers as Araucanas. But, it was like talking to the wind.

So many EEers are that brownish color with gold around the neck...That is a very typical coloring. This one is whitish with the orange tips....but today it looks like she may have some bluish tones. EEers are one of my favorite type of chickens. They are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get! I have seen two totally different color EE grow to look like twins and I have seen yellow chicks grow to brownish black! Weird!

You must be looking for one like this:

So TSC now has a new "breed" of chick called the Tetra Tint. They are actually just a cross between a RIR and a leghorn.

Somebody slap these people for naming "new breeds" that aren't REALLY a breed. Stop confusing the rest of us that KNOW what the hell we're dealing with! At least MY customers would know "this is a leghorn crossed with a phoenix". Not "This is a tetra tint... um... good luck finding out what color eggs it will lay and what it SHOULD look like. k thx bai!"

So my Buckeyes did not show up today. The USPS tracking thingy said they departed Springfield, MO March 26. I gave the postal worker the tracking number and she said they left Missouri at around midnight last night. So I have 15 chicks sitting somewhere now with no food and water for almost 2 days. And it STILL has not updated beyond showing they left Missouri.

BUT HOWEVER ALAS MEANWHILE I did have 30 more eggs show up that I had forgotten about buying. Marans, Rhodebars and Cream Legbars.
