Don't know.  I don't remember having the option to add grow gel.  I just hope they call early in the morning so we can go grab them and get some water in them.
I'm sure the post office will call you BRIGHT and EARLY!!! When I ordered 8 from my pet chicken a few years ago, the post office in Dawsonville called at 6:00 in the morning to let us know the chicks had arrived and to come get them. When we got there they had them ready for us to take home in the front. Needless to say they were happy to have them and the peeping gone

If they are four weeks old, then they can go whenever the coop is ready.

Did any of us NOT make a trip to TSC for feed today? Lol!

I did, but not for chicken feed. Dog food, bird seed and bird suet. And watching a lady mishandle baby chicks

@ChickDancer , good luck with your little peep patients. I dozed off with my little closed-eye runt chick on my chest last night, but i was afraid I'd squish it. I couldn't imagine two in my blanket! (My chick sometimes opens one eye at a time, but mostly they're closed. He's in with three younger chicks, and seems to follow them to the food and water, so his crop is staying full but I'm afraid he (or she)'s going to need a guide-chicken from here on out.
Oh it's a king-sized bed with just me in it, and dual temperature controls. So they were on the other half of the bed and far enough away from me - but still within arm's reach, and hearing range. Plus, it was PLENTY warm in this house last night, so I didn't need or want the electric blanket on me.

But unfortunately, they both took a turn in the opposite direction. One came out of it's shell still very caked with gunk that had all dried up. He was actually sticky when I found him in the incubator yesterday. But he isn't DEVELOPING. He's still keeping the position he had in the egg (although his head is straight) and his neck still has the huge bulge right behind his head. But he was trying to sit up last night, so I thought he might be the better of the two. This morning, he's not even uncurling. And despite being up against the other one all night, he never fluffed up. And he still has the thick part on his neck. So he probably won't make it through the day.

The second one is a chick who has been outside for a couple of days already, but was acting lethargic. He's one of the 15 who got a bath, and I noticed he was weak during the bath. After noticing the problem got worse when I moved him outside, I brought him in and force-fed him some fruit-flavored baby food with an eyedropper and put a couple of drops of water on the tip of his beak. He seemed to drink it. But shortly before I went to bed, he was at the point gasping for air. I thought for sure he'd be gone by morning. But when I woke up and took the blanket off of him, he was standing completely up, looking alert and okay like nothing had ever happened. I think he may have been getting bullied for feed, or didn't like the other feed I used for a couple of days. Either way, he's back in the indoor brooder with the chicks less than 1 week old, eating and happily chirping away.
