I wish I could tell the male from the female. It SEEMS like the one with the long slender neck would be the female and the one with the stocky neck would be the male but I'm not so sure anymore. But the one has a neck twice as thick as the other one. Anyhow, they have learned to come over when I feed the fish and eat the fish food. Tonight the slender necked one came toward me hissing. I laughed. I have never lost a fight with a bird. lol

I had my own pair of visiting CG on the pond tonight. I think they probably never nest here because of the Doberman Annoyer.
