FOR THOSE OF YOU ON THE SOUTHSIDE...
I completely forgot to remind everyone, but start saving all of your hatching eggs! The teacher in Conyers sent me a text today to ask if we were still on for next week. I said "sure...."
And then sent @abmaddox1981 and @mrsdszoo a quick text saying "OMG, SAVE YOUR EGGS!"
I've been putting my own eggs in the incubator, not thinking about it! OOPS! But today I collected six eggs, so if this rate continues every day, (not likely) I should have 48 for her by next weekend. She needs a total of 100. It's going into five classrooms with 20 eggs per class.
I'm going to tell her I want the silkie/frizzle chicks and the EE chicks back. But the Sumatras are laying like crazy, and the demand is still very low, so she can give those to any kids who may be interested in keeping them (WITH PARENTAL CONSENT). Same for you guys - if you want any back, feel free to just mark them somehow. The rest we'll leave up to her. If she doesn't have anyone interested in taking them home, we can take them back and sell them ourselves.
For those of you who may want to participate, we are GIVING HER these eggs for the classroom project. We're not charging her. But of course the caveat of getting some back basically means you have free access to some incubators for a short while, lol!
Although I may need someone (maybe everyone) to bring the eggs down my way on Saturday the 12th. I'm going to be working that day and possibly not off until 5pm, so trying to drive to everyone and collect eggs before it gets too late may be a challenge.
