Yeah I've got to get UP. Going with a friend in a bit to help her pick more chicks. She's really taken off with the first chicks thing.. I think she's up to six or seven already plus whatever she'll get this trip! LOL

Ugh! Why don't I have friends who wants chickens???? I want to go with someone to look at chicks! Everyone I know just says, "maybe one day, but not now!"

This is Minnie the black one that doesn't have much for tail feathers yet, but they are coming in now. She is also aggressive, if I see "her" picking at the little barred rock too much. I will just give her some solitary confinement then reintroduce to the brooder with the others.

I'm sure everyone here has plenty of fresh eggs, but if for any reason, someone is running low, this gentlemen sells them. I stopped by his place the other day. All his chickens are free-range and very well taken care of and I would be happy to pick some up if anyone ever needs me to.

Hello carcar80 where did u find the speckled Sussex chicks at

Ruckers in Cumming is getting SS in on April 15th. They are also getting in EE, Black Australorps, White Leghorns, RIR, and Barred Rocks. They got White Pekin ducks on the 10th and will be getting more ducks on the 17th.

There is also a man who breeds SS in Gainesville, GA. If you want his info, PM me.

Morning everyone!

Yet another productive day yesterday helping a friend get things done, then it was off to the auction with abmaddox and debgal . I did NOT bring anything home from the auction.

Mostly because I already brought home six ducklings in the morning I was so proud of my waterer for them; until I checked them later and they had dumped the milk carton and spilled everything everywhere -I forgot to secure it to the side of their enclosure. This is a new learning curve for me!

Anyhow; have a good day everyone -I'm off to hopefully go groom and maybe go pick up ab's goslings with her.
