My guess would be yote. In most cases if there a few feathers left it's a yote cause they are big enough to grab and go. Foxes have to kill then drag so more feathers are left behind. All that said dogs can do either depending on the size and type of dog your dealing with. Don't think being in a city will rule out yotes either. I have friends in Atlanta with pictures of em in their yard.

yes, we are in Atlanta, coyotes are very present, especially since we live near chattahoochee. Im trying to be prepared for the losses that will likely come in our future.

I thought it strange, but the lady said I could put them in the coop at 4 weeks, but I just can't imagine them out there that small. Any thoughts?

Yeah it definitely sounds like cocci. If they are not acting sick, but you are already treating for it, then they'll be fine. I am just a little worried about what else they may be carrying.

And 4 weeks is okay if they have most of their feathers in. Keep in mind our summer is virtually here already! Temps will be pretty warm for a while!

That's why I let animal control do the work with raccoons. Just a quick injection.

The fox, however, will be put down in the trap, if he gets caught by a spring trap. There would be no way to approach him otherwise.

ok thanks. I may be sending pics later to determine sex, suppose to have all hens, but idk now.

It should be fine as long as it doesn't stay sopping wet all the time. Most of my big pen isn't shaded, so the sun bakes the dirt, which then won't drain well at all. So water just kinda collects and turns into mud for ages.

If your soil doesn't drain well, try tilling it up with sphagnum peat moss. And if it gets too poopy or smelly, rake some lime into it.

I actually have to take coons in for them - trap and all. If they come out, they charge $25 and I still have to go to their office to pick up my trap...

I think there are some single combs mixed in her lines somewhere and they pop up here & there. I had that one with the single. They should have the rose comb though. The rest looked like rose combs to me.
