That's what I don't get. I can hatch eggs like crazy, and I have no idea why. These turkey poults that just hatched were in an incubator that I left open THREE different entire nights! But they still came out just fine! I don't get it...

The walmart *digital* therm I only use for hygrometer. Reason being, it sits on the floor of my incubator. I can't figure out how to rig it at "egg height". If anyone has any ideas on that I'm all ears.

That being said, the ONLY thing temp-related I use that digital for, is to note swings. It hasn't shown any wide swings more than a degree or two.

Honestly I'm not too terribly worried. Hubby and my mom's boyfriend are working on a fridge bator for me and I have *really* high hopes for it seeing as my mom's boyfriend is somewhat of a rocket scientist. I've already got a good start on collecting.. I just hope they'll have it ready by then!

I'm just curious, do you have a fan added to your bator?
