YO GEORGIANS! :)

Well it has been a while since I have been on here.

A week and a half ago my awesome neighbors gave me 6 Muscovy eggs, then 3 days later the guy showed up at my house and gave me 11 more. I candled them today and most of them are doing really well. Out of 17 eggs, 5 didn't develop right. I'm hoping the rest will hatch, I haven't had ducks in two years.

I am actually stalking you because I know that soon after you get eggs we should here too! LOL
LOL! I haven't checked today. I've been so busy. I went to let my grand dogs out at my daughter's and check on her bator. She called me from work and said she had to help a chick out early this morning it had saran wrapped it's self in the egg while trying to hatch. She was worried it didn't make it. It did though cute and a loud peeper! I noticed another egg with a small pip in the shell.

About 15 minutes after checking on the little peeper I went back in to her laundry room where the bator is set up and checked again and the small pip was bigger. I went to tend to the dogs again and her other chicks. The next time I checked on the egg with the pip another 15 or so minutes had gone by and it had zipped and was about to bust out. Video Alert!

So cute! I love seeing eggs hatch! I am sure your daughter was thankful you got to update her on them!

Yes she was. When I told her all that had happened and that there was also another one that had a pip her reply back was GEEZ!!! LOL! She has a brooder full (around 17 or so) of Silkie chicks from white Silkie parents. She can't keep them because she has a small coop and run. She knows of a fellow that wants 6 maybe more, if not she doesn't know if she will advertise them or what. I have three of them that I am hopeful are hens because I have a blue Silkie Roo. She also has about 6 more eggs in the bator and the hens keep laying fertile eggs. :)
