It's going to be crowded in there.

OMG!  My daughter just told me she ordered 20 eggs plus whatever extras they send for our family reunion hatch!  I was floored.  She had not asked me how many I had already ordered from other sources!  I have 12 coming from Rocky Rhodes, 6 + Naked Necks from DDD and 6 from another lady, plus my duck eggs!  How will they all fit in my 40 egg incubator?  I guess I will have to double up and then candle at day 10 and after discarding any no goes, there will be room??? If not, I will have to get my friend to fire up her incubator and take some of the eggs! 

I asked my daughter why she ordered so many and she said that the shipping was free if you ordered 20 eggs, so she thought the price for the 13 I had talked to her about was about the same with shipping as the 20 eggs without shipping.  So, ok, that is a good deal, but where am I going to put them all!  LOL!  And what will I do with all those chicks????  (many breeds if you guys are interested in some chicks!)

Wow that sounds like a fun trip!

OMG! I just got a call from my daughter in Florida. She had scheduled a trip to Alaska for her family and a few of my other kids. I had wanted to go soooo bad. That was always a dream of mine....to go to Alaska. They scheduled bear watching trips and all sorts of other great excursions. I was really sad that my grandchildren and daughters were going to make these great memories without me. Anyway, they have all gotten together and are paying my way to go with them!!!!! I am soooooo excited! There is only one problem, it is during the week that all my hatching eggs are coming and need to go into the incubator! My husband has agreed to put them in the bator for me and to hold down the rental house for me so I can go! Can't believe I am going to Alaska!

What!!!! Nobody has commented on me getting to go to Alaska! HA. Jealousy is not a good thing! LOL Planned is: White Water rafting on a Glacier river, visiting an Indian Cultural place, a 7 mile hike thru bear country to spend the night in the middle of nowhere with no running water or electricity, plane ride over volcano and glaciers and watching bears eat salmon out of the streams! We have a tour set up for the Iditarod Puppy Kennels and maybe try out dog sledding! My city raised son in law is glad I am going and said he will actually feel safer with me there. (I grew up in the out of doors and can make fires, love snakes and I don't panick) hahaha! I feel really blessed that my kids wanted me to go so bad (to create great memories ....yea, and to help with the grandkids) that they all chipped in to pay for my flight and hotels! Am really excited!

Seems fun, but white water rafting... in Alaska... in the cold water... no thanks, but have fun! No but seriously, have fun with the grand kids!

They are getting their first ever cage free grazing day ever. Yesterday was their first time on grass and at first they did not know what to do. Instinct kicked in quickly. They are loving life right now. And I find it very relaxing just sitting here watching.

Actually yes, I do. I have a friend from Canada. She caught on pretty fast and GAM strikes me as a quick learner. Plus, I'm sure she'd agree to just about anything to work your nerves.

Well it's hard to ask someone who has fallen off the planet. Oh and this weekend we are picking up a trio of Muscovies. Free.

Obviously we can't keep all of this stuff because I don't want to be having brothers and sisters breeding so just remember this when you feel the urge to be mean to me.

I am really excited about this weekend. Rocky Rhodes is going to take me with him and his wife and grandson to the auction! I haven't been in months and it will be fun to meet RR! I love going to see other peoples animals!

Ok so something came up and I didn't get those chickens today either. But they said they are coming tomorrow. I seriously have chicken egg fever now. I just want laying hens already. LOL Just a few would help me be so much more patient with the birds we have had for a few months as chicks!
