Ok I have drug myself out of bed, getting ready to go pick DH up at the airport. I'm so excited, I'm glad he is back. It's only been a week, but I miss him alot

. Really wanted Robo to stay and do some man chores for me, sigh, it's ok Robo, DH is coming home today. Lol I hope he is rested up and in a good mood, cause there is no way I can hide chicks on the back porch LOL..... Now I have til 630 to figured out how to keep him out of the back yard so he doesn't see all the new birds that are here. He told me no more, but I don't mind very well and frankly don't care. Lol

Those duckies are so incredibly happy at the farm. They've got the big ole pond to swim in and lots of pasture and woods to free range in. There was a bit of a "get to know you" orgy when they first met the other ducks but they've since settled down a bit.

Who's a bad influence? Certainly not me!?!

Okay, so we still haven't heard anything about the property we went and looked at 3 was ago. Stupid. But, I just found another property with almost twice the acreage for 4k more. Downside, we will have to add on since it's currently only a 2 bedroom. Eesh! So y'all send us some prayers, good vibes, positive thoughts etc.

. My chickens are not the only thing laying in my nesting boxes this little wren and her baby's have a box all to themselves she has five babies all I could see was two didn't want to bother them to much

Please come train my dogs!! They're not quite a year old and half lab, so they're nothing but huge puppies. They want to chew on everything. I don't think they would actually eat the chickens, but they'd certainly play with them. When the girls ran away the dogs would think that's part of the game. Big galoots

My big dog is a labradootle. They are hard to train. She has gone through 2 couches, 2 rooms of carpet, and a door in her 8 years on this earth. If you haven't gotten them fixed I would highly suggest that or they will never calm down/cooperate.

I had a wrent build a nest in my coop also. Its up behind the roosting poles so I'm not sure if they actuary laid anything.

Feeling your pain! I have a lab that is almost 2. She loves her chickens. Every night she waits by the door because she knows we need to go close up the coop, and she wakes me up at first light so we can go open up the house. She hasn't gotten too much "one-on-one" time with them because they are enclosed in the run, but she loves running at the fence to watch them fly.
