I realize that you love ducks, and that's fine, but approach a mother duck with babies that is not familiar with you and I guarantee an attack will occur. This is true for all species, you just don't mess with a protective mother! And a protective mother shouldn't mess with an overprotective grandpa!!

The worst we ever get is some hissing. Even if one were to bite I doubt it could even raise a bruise. LOL

Maybe those South Georgia ducks cant raise a bruise, but these Mountain ducks will mess you up!!

You should have seen the attack duck in Virginia...lol. The guy w got the Mallards from was scared of her. He would reach for her babies and she would try to kill him. I would have helped him but I was too amused by his fear of this duck. He finally used a dipnet to scoop up some babies.
