Howdy Y'all!

I haven't been on here for a while. It's been a very busy few months! I have sold most of my chickens, though I kept a nice young flock that I hatched out earlier this year. I now have 8 game chicks that need a new home! Anyone interested? I've got 3 that are about 2 months old now, and the other 5 are about 5 weeks old. One of the little 5-week olds is in isolation for a leg injury, but she's healing nicely! I don't have pics yet, but I can get some today or tomorrow. I'm asking $20 for all of them, and they have to go. I can't take them with me.

Long story short, I have been diagnosed with cancer, and I am moving in just a few weeks, so long as the sale of my house goes through.

OH NO! So sorry to heard about your health! Where are you moving? I will be sending healing prays your way!

You live up here with me.....why don't you take all your chicken things to auction in Cleveland. Every Saturday. You can sell feeders, cages, crates, chickens! You could sell them all at one time.

Trying to get an Egg candling class in our corner of GA is like pulling teeth! UGH! I got transferred a few times and now waiting on a call back.

We just had a storm come through here and it looks like I had about two inches of rain standing in my chicken pen at one time it was raining so hard you could see only 10 feet in front of you it was lighting once every other second it was bad for a little while the lightning got some fuses on our well pump trying to get that fixed

That storm knocked out power here for an hour but at least the house was not struck again. Lost a computer monitor and laptop last time a big storm hit! This time we unplugged everything just in case!

Our stupid ducks played in that down pour the whole time!

I know this is a chicken site but do yall know anything about guineas other than they are loud.... I'm considering getting some for eating bugs but I'm wondering how bad they wander. Or if they could get away from dogs or coyotes fast. Also wanting to know if I get a fenced area and pygmy goats would coyotes come and kill them since they don't normally come near my house. Our property is only an acre.

I can't really tell you about the wandering because my 2 are still in the grow out pen. I would normally let them out by now (15 weeks) but since there are only 2 I want them to be full grown or almost there. But what I can tell you is they are awesome little birds and there are now bugs living in or around the grow out pen they are in.

My rooster is ugly! Im 99% sure he is molting. He has no long saddles,He has 1 long tail feather left, all the others are little nubs with tiny green pieces sticking out.and a few other small ugly splotches. I've never seen him molt this bad before. Poor guy went from prince charming to the ugly duckling. His ego must be hurting really bad about now!

They wander a lot. They will travel a long way. I have seen many flocks over the years along side roadways. And they always disappear one by one as they get hit by cars. They are good bug eaters but only because they are faster than the bugs.... Not smarter.
