@Flowerbh yeah those definitely stopped somewhere along the way. I forget I had several like that when I didn't realize y bator was too cool. Even if they were moving if they're that far behind I wouldn't hold much hope.. Sorry

That wasn't from me, but I agree. Those eggs don't look good. You can google it. Look up candling eggs. There were several sites that showed quitters.

Here are two different eggs. The others are really hard to see(maran eggs and EE eggs). Can you see the little floaty in the second pic? Again they should be day 19, but my broody is a failure and stopped sitting around day 10 and was only sitting on them at night. I did see movement in 3 about 4 days ago, but not seeing movement now.

I saw what Flower and CarCar said. If your eggs did stop developing and you want some more eggs that may be fertile let me know I have three EE eggs. Your incubator is so cute it should be used!

So I had a stroke of absolute genius today. This coming Friday we are having a small barn built for the mini critters. The guy building it places the material order with Lowe's and then I call and pay for it. I figure materials are going to be somewhere around $1,200. Here comes the genius part.....get ready. I went to Kroger and bought $1,200 worth of Lowe's gift cards. Here comes the absolute part....hold onto your hats. I used my Bass Pro Shops rewards credit card. So I got 2400 rewards points toward Kroger fuel..... 1200 points on my BPS card. And my next two fuel fill ups will be discounted $1.00 a gallon. I paid $2.29 a gallon for diesel fuel today.

And I just use the gift cards to pay for the material for the barn.

I was thinking the same about how far behind they are. I really didn't think they would survive but I did everything I could to save them. If my chicken would have done her job for 11 more days, I would have chicks hatching in the next day or two. then I spent 4 days working on that bator and it's at the perfect temp and humidity And my babies are dead.


@valleychicks - I may take you up on that! Let me see if @Book might have another maran or two eggs she would part with or if I can get another couple eggs. I'll PM you.

I will hold on to the 3 EE eggs I have. I'm not certain that they are fertile though. Another lady just got a dozen of my EE eggs yesterday in hopes that they are fertile.
