YO GEORGIANS! :)

Anyone interested in a free buff orpington rooster? He's 23 weeks, and gorgeous. From Meyer Hatchery, got him at 1 day. Very nice temperament. He crows a good bit, mostly when we're out and around the coop/run. I have a no-crow collar on him that helps (muffles) but I'm not allowed ANY roosters (or chickens, period). He has a flock of 5 pullets, not at POL yet but is sweet to his girls. In Atlanta area. Happy to bring him to you or meet somewhere. I don't want to risk losing my entire flock because he attracts attention with the crowing. I can get a recent pic--this one is at 18 weeks I think. He is much bigger now! The other pic is about 4 weeks (when I discovered she was a he)

Got the new kids out of the wooden coop today and let them in with the two remaining layers.. This little guy is a spitfire lol. Pecking order quickly ensued but nothing too violent. This roo had fought (well, postured) through the wire with my Brahma roo all day.. They wore themselves out lol. So I think I'll let them try staying in this coop for now.

@mamahenAtlanta i am in Atlanta and I had 3 roosters and needed to re home 2 of them. I took them all the way to Canton to the feed store called TC Country and they re homed both of mine within 2 days! There were lots of farmers up that way and really wanted my Rhode Islands Reds. I know its a drive but i bought supplies while i was there to make it worth the trip. I went back a few days later to buy chicks and both roos were sold. Obviously i dont know if someone bought my roosters to put in a pot, i sure hope not, but the store owners seemed pretty authentic about the roos whereabouts and new home. (made me feel better at least)

Good luck!!

carcar, put a GAM proof lock on your coop..  (shouldn't be hard, she ain't real smart)   We need another rooster like GAM needs another bonbon.  When are you going to come over and kill some of them?
