YO GEORGIANS! :)

Well I moved the big chicks out to the porch today. They have the heat bulb of course now.. They're laying under it panting.. Like they don't have another six feet of space to cool off? :/ Anyway they'll have to figure it out, at least for now. I have plastic board over top of the rest of it so they won't lose all the heat. I have my thermometer in the hot spot and it's reading 95.. They're just weird I think.

Well, just put my 32 eggs in lockdown! All 32 look good! Am so excited! All you guys be sure to keep us informed about your hatches! (As if you wouldn't come running to tell us all!) Good luck to all of us!

Do i even need to say what i'm thinking?

Of all those, there may be only 2 from the frizzled NN. Then, my friend may have one or two in her bator. They are due Tuesday...the 10th.

BUT, I just ordered a smaller hatching incubator (I will have two incubators) and plan to do staggered hatches and put a lot of her eggs in there. May even do some duck eggs too! And, some from my Polish to get some fun chicks like yours!

Hey ya'll! :)

I know, I know - I have been totally MIA and am likely to go that way again, but it's almost SPRING. And you know what that means... LOL

I'm expecting 8 chicks from Meyer Hatchery in Feb. 5 silver gray dorkings (because after buying all those last year, I never got a male! And I love my two females! So I ordered FIVE males LOL Surely one will make it? And we can eat the rest?), 1 black copper marans (because, like an idiot, I butchered all of our marans males. DUH.) And 2 welsummer pullets - to go with my one welsummer roo that hatched last year.

Also debating sticking some eggs in the incubator. Could do some OEs with my EEs and Welsummer. Still debating.

Hope everyone is doing great and had a good 2014. :) We ended up with I believe 64 chickens and butchered 21. Sold a few, too. We're down to 27 now. For a couple of weeks, anyway ;-)

The whizbang plucker ROCKS, by the way!
