YO GEORGIANS! :)

DH = Dear Husband LOL

That's good to know...and what a nice endearing term to boot!

But who's husband...?

Can I be one...?

What are the qualifications?

Where do I apply?

Am I too old...? 72

Do I need my wife's permission...? (hee-hee)

I have a new Brinsea 20 incubator...does that help...? (zero experience using it)

Hahhahha! You will need to have your DW qualify you and endorse you and nominate you!

So far I now have 19 chicks out and 11 more pipping. Only 2 not doing anything....but, it's still early! Yea!

Cliff, so far only one NN has hatched and I know it won't be a frizzle. It hatched from a green egg so it has to be from Toupe, my non-frizzled NN. (That, in itself is great, since she only carries one set of NN genes and would only produce a NN about 25% of the time! Glad it was this time!) There are three blue eggs in there that have pipped, so keeping my fingers crossed that they are from my frizzled NN, Electra. She lays a blue egg, so hopefully, they are hers.

My Swedish Flower eggs are some of the last to pip and are slower to hatch than the rest. I find it interesting that eggs from certain hens always hatch 1st or 2nd or whatever according to that hen! So, I guess the eggs from the SFs will always run a little late. The cochins, too....they were some of the last to pip, too.

Love this hatching thing. But, now, I need a nap....been up every hour last night watching chicks hatch!

Oh, have to tell you this cute story. Two days ago, my DH and I go to a new feed store to check it out. My DH was just standing in the isle waiting for me. Some man comes up to him and says, "You look like a man who knows all about chickens, can I ask you some questions about mine?" hahhahahhahahahhahahah! Those who know my DH knows THAT was not a thing to say to him! (He thinks we all have an incurable disease (that he can't understand) that makes us go crazy for our chickens. He says he is going to find a cure for all of us if it's the last thing he does! hahahhaha!" Not only that, but DH wants to know what "a man who knows all about chickens" is suppose to look like! I mean, he wasn't wearing coveralls or anything and he has all his teeth! hahhahahah! So, he was kind-of put out! Poor DH! Of course, I answered all the man's questions!

Pray tell me what ol DW (Darrell Waltrip) has to do with anything other than stock car racing...?

He has always been pretty good at qualifying though...

And...he has a LOT of endorsements...

Maybe I can get DW to vouch for me...! :)

Cliff, my last blue egg just hatched and it's a NN! It apparently has the double gene because it is super naked! It is a two tone, right now, yellow and black. Don't know if it will be frizzled or a male or female, but it is fabulous! Can't wait until it dries up some and I will try to get a photo. BTW, what sex did you want? Male or female or either? I think you were also wanting a splash. But, I hatched one and we can see what it grows out to look like over the next 10 days!

And oh yeah.. Thank God I'm a habitual bator peeper.. Before I left this morning my water had all dried up from the weekend's hatch and humidity was 37!! :gasp:

Soo glad I got to correct that then!

What? 37% isn't bad. I keep mine between 35-45%
