YO GEORGIANS! :)

Just went and played with my little babies. They are so cute! Although they are mixes, I can tell who the mom was on almost all of them! ....the black and silverish ones with the rose comb are the SLW. The reddish/golden brown ones with rose combs belong to the GLW, I ended up with 3 Swedish Flowers. The little cochins have their moms feathered legs. The two that hatched from the Olive eggs look almost just alike. Etc, Etc. I could watch them all day! They are playing merrily and seem very comfortable in the brooder.

I am already having withdrawal from no eggs in the bator. It just seems TOO quiet without the motor going. I have walked halfway to the bator twice before I remembered that the babies aren't there! hahhaha! I am tired from 3 sleepless nights. But, looking on my calendar, I am set to put more eggs in the bator on Feb. 21st.....unless I get some fun eggs to hatch at the event! Then, will put some in before then!

Think I'll make some hot tea and go to bed.

My chicks are 5 weeks old today that my BO and Silkie mamas hatched on NYD. I came home from Augusta to find two eggs in the nursery/brooder. The mamas are now on the roost with the other chickens and the chicks are inside. I put the heat lamp on low about 80 because the Silkie chicks were fussing so I guess they were cold. They have calmed down a good bit now. A friend is coming to look at the chicks tomorrow and pick out a couple. I will be bringing the rest to the swap.

OH! And waiting on me on the front porch was my Shiny New Hovabator!!!

Gonna fire that puppy up for a test run and make sure all is working well this weekend then I may get some eggs. I wonder what hatching eggs will be at the swap? I thought about getting Trader Joe ones but I may wait. What do y'all think I should do?

Good morning all! I am so happy to see all those chicks Flower!! Thats exciting. I wish I lived closer to I could come to one of the events your going to. We just don't have anything like that down here. I am still looking for a Polish and any kind of frizzle and a black copper maran. No one around here seems to sell anything like that. How hard is it to incubate eggs? I looked online and its seems pretty easy as long at you follow the instructions. I think I might try that. It seems the only way I can really get what I want.

Okay everyone please forgive me but my 2 year old daughter wants to type really bad. So here is her 2 cents.
