YO GEORGIANS! :)

GDOA just shut down the event. Said that anyone participating would have to have all of their animals tested prior to bringing them and have all documentation of the tests. We were also told that we would need a special event permit to be allowed to have an event involving small livestock and poultry on our property. Sorry guys we were so close. Now i see why these events are becoming so few and far between.

So we can buy, sell and trade chickens with each other all day long but if we try to do it where everyone is conveniently in one place, the Department of Agriculture gets involved. That sounds about right. Cliff, did you call 911 so someone can come out and save you from the red tape you're immersed in?

I posted on fb to see if someone has field that could be use to host a swap. It is my understanding of the Ag. rules is that if your not running a business u dont have to have the permits. It has been afew years since I last had to deal with them so it may have changed.

I checked tracking. It showed my Black Java eggs arrived several hours ago and it showed they were out for delivery. They were supposed to be held for pick up. So GAM happens to be in town so she stops by. The eggs were there and no one had called us. Then the guy flips the box on its side to scan it. His customer service (not) was full of attitude. I am glad we have a different address we can use so we can have our future purchases delivered through a different post office.
Our PO had been great to us. Y'all are always welcome to use our addy if needed too.

My friend went to TSC after work (I stayed at work late).. She called from tsc and asked if I wanted to split the last six barred rocks lol. So now I have three. :)
