YO GEORGIANS! :)

I still don't have any pips from my 6 eggs. I have to keep reminding myself that I put these in last and that day 21 doesn't really start until tonight. But I am also having trouble with this Eco mini. Without touching it, the temp is all over the place and the humidity got way too high. If this thing has killed my eggs I am gonna be do mad!

Cant wait to see what you hatch!

I have one out this morning and the other pip is zipping. I'm getting anxious too. No Brahmas have done anything. I'll be sick if they don't hatch. But hey, we're staying positive here. Right!?

I have 6 more pips and look what I woke up to this am

It looks so sleepy and it has the shortest beak. I'm so happy. Now I have to go to Dalton to get my Nankin banies and the lady has included 6 hatching eggs for me then on to alabama, scottsville to get my silkies those are the best kind free, lady needed to rehome a pair!!! I so need a teenager this morning, but like you flower my time really didn't start until around 5 pm. Oh the cochin has pipped I am glad I really wanted to see that one, and then I did have an egg that I was not sure if it was alive or not well it pipped so guess it is that is a good thing.

Yea! My guess is that this chick came from the Gold Laced Wyandotte. (It does have a rose comb, right? and did it hatch from a brown egg?) So excited for you. Hope the others all hatch, too!

Were the Brahmas from your eggs or were they shipped? Didn't your Brahmas hatch last on your last hatch? All I know is that my Swedish Flowers always hatched last.

I just thought of something.....why is this chick out? You shouldn't lift the lid while the chicks are hatching. That's why it is called lockdown. Every time you lift the incubator lid, the humidity and temp are affected big time. You can end up shrink wrapping all the other pipping chicks!

They are from my flock. Since I finally started getting fertile eggs, my fertility has been 100%!! :clap

And yes, but it was the only brahma egg IN that round. So I just keep reminding myself, that's technically a 100% Brahma success from that hatch :)gig) and that it DID take FOREVER to come out even once it started. Remember my countdown for it?

167.. 166.. 165.. 166.. 167.. LOL

Still ill about this leaky bator this morning. It's holding humidity but making a mess. If it didn't have eggs in it is chunk it out into the pond right now.

I don't think you can hatch fish eggs with it.
Ha! I just told Mr Carcar I'll cut it up and use it to float this out for Mama Mal..

Won't she love it?? I caught her ON the front porch this morning, eyeing the cats' winter shelter box. The cats were sitting there like, ummmm.. And she was all, I could totes lay eggs in there guys.

And then she flew away.

I need to do something for our ducks and geese for egg laying purposes. Last year they would just lay an egg next to the pond and they would roll into the water.
Weren't they young though? Most ducks I've seen do that their first year.. Then they'll start nesting. My dad had eggs all over the pond last year, lol. But now they're more uniform.

I would think yours would be all OVER your island, like the geese were, once they get the hang of it.
