I received my Silver Silkie eggs today in the mail. I need info on hatching shipped eggs! Where can I find it? I looked under the learning center but I must not be putting in the right question. I think you are supposed to let the egg rest when you receive shipped eggs but not sure and if so for how long before I put them on the turner in the incubator?
Make sure that they are fat end up and let them rest for at least 12 hours, then have at it. GOOD LUCK!!!
They are fat end up in a carton flat so I will let them rest until tomorrow night when I get back from the hospital. That will be way over 12 hours from the time they were delivered. Thank you!
Maybe after I get this group separated into hens and roos and outside into the coop I'll buy or build one and give it a go! I've hatched some geckos before, so it can't be TOO different, right?

Okay just saying…Cliff your the best.I picked up my Cochin babies tonight and have them tucked in bed for the night. It's way past bedtime so pics will have to wait until tomorrow. I just had to say thank you so very much and how helpful the folks at the TSC in McDonough are compared to the one closer to my home. It's a shame I have to drive over an hour away instead of going to my local TSC to get service and dedication to customers and folks in the poultry world.

lovely looking family. awesome picsThink I am going to bed early.....tiled my new bathroom floor, worked in the garden and cleaned some of the Lodge. Got lots to do tomorrow....paint, more garden stuff and play with chicks! Will be going to NYC to visit daughter and then flying back with her and my Grandson for a big family reunion! We will be celebrating Easter early this year as it is the only time we can all get together! Will have lots of chicks hatching while they are all here! Can't wait! I love my family!
