YO GEORGIANS! :)

the 8 bigger ones all huddled in the corner are Blue Americauna, the 3 yellow with white feathers coming in are Leghorns, the 3 smaller black ones are supposed to be australorps, but I swear one of them looks like a Maran.......which I'd love to have anyway. I'm hoping to get a couple maran hens later on, I'd like those dark chocolate brown eggs to go with my white, light brown and blue!

Hey katsdar, sending you a wave from LaFayette!

And PapaChaz, what a beautiful coop and run!
Thank you!

I am just about finished, tomorrow it's 'caulk, and touch up the paint' day. I still have to finish out the inside, which is basically build the roosts. I'm kinda waiting for the 6 younger chicks to move out there so I can tear apart the brooder and use some of that to finish up.

Once the paint and stain is all touched up, I'll get pics all around. I finished out the porch this evening, put the rails up, trimmed out the windows. The worst part of this whole job is going to be cleaning up the mess I've made of the yard, LOL

Welcome aboard!

Polk County here, so howdy neighbor!

I've been lurking the last few days, having to sit on my hands to behave with the calf killing-won't have a dog spayed-neighbors dogs killing pet roosters...........I like it here, I don't wanna be banded!!!!!!!

I am just about finished with my coop and run. Got the run done enough yesterday I could let the chicks out, man oh man they absolutely love it! I had to finally put the last two inside this evening, and when I went around and looked in, they were standing looking at the pop door.....I did assure them I'd let them back out to play tomorrow!

here's a few pics of the grand daughter and the chicks in the new run

Such a lovely house and run and a beautiful granddaughter to top it all off who likes chickens I don't think your world could get much better

PapaChaz! That looks awesome! I like how you did the run. It looks much more simple than framing one out with 2x4s. Was it easy to install? I'm sorta handy for a girl, but I do know my limits. It may be beyond my skill level.

I was thinking the same! My chicks are most of them 3 weeks and it is almost time to kick them outside, but I don't have my run set up yet.

Took some pictures of my gang today (for posterity, you know. And to post the whole lot on the "Is this a rooster" Thread!)
I won't swamp you with all the pictures, but here's a few of my favorites!

One of my favorite Wyandottes, Topaz.

This RIR chick is named MediumSpicy, and she did NOT want to get off my hand during picture taking. :) Usually one of the first to run over to get treats, too.

Teensy Acorn! My silver duckwing OEGB.

Everybody's at least three weeks old today. :)
