Pics coming soon.
Oh that's just mean. The poor girls around here that have to wait til day 22 and 23 to get hatches and you get them to pip on day 19. I like your style.

This one is for the hatch pro's. If after 7 days in the incubator an egg hasn't developed toss it right?
After 7 days it should be just about right for eggs benedict. Bon apetit.

So after taking Robo's Pro hatcher advice and tossing my 12 eggs out of the 37 I set on the 27th I now have 25 eggs with veins. Yeah I did the math

. So...back to the waiting game. Think I will go play with a rooster or two in the brooder while I wait.

My broody's hatch day is around Tuesday and rain is forecast Wednesday so I think that's when chicks will make an appearance. Hers will all be for sale later and after today's collection the bator will be turned on. Lots of BO eggs (chicks to sell) as well as a few OEGB Crele, BLP and LOs. Not sure if any aside from the BO are gonna be fertile but after collection I saw some romance going on so fingers crossed.

one of our new chicks is convinced she can fly. we received our six chicks yesterday and after a few hours she started climbing on the feeder and attempting to "fly" across the brooder. it's funny watching her flap her fuzzy little wings and launching herself across the pack and play always resulting in a less than graceful landing. she is one of our brown leghorn pullets that seems to think she's a fighter jet....lol
