YO GEORGIANS! :)

Ok I've been doing some reading, for those of you with poultry licenses. You have to get the NAIS ID first? Not so sure of all that. Someone educate me please, I'd trust y'all way more than everything else I've been reading on the internet....

We just filled out a form and paid our money. That was it..

Yes I filled out my form for the poultry license and sent my check. It took about 1 month before I got the license in the mail. I called about 1 and a half months ago to have the tester come out and test my birds. He called me back about 2 days ago saying that he has a couple others in my area and will make a trip around the 20 the of this month. They charge .35 per bird to test unless you have more than 300 (I think) then you pay the $8 fee and your certified for the year.

Ok. I just talked to a friend of mine that just got through doing everything to be able to sale poultry and you fill out the form I sent earlier and these a Premise id form and affidavit which has to be notarized. http://agr.georgia.gov/Data/Sites/1...mal_health/files/premisesregistrationform.pdf and http://agr.georgia.gov/Data/Sites/1/media/ag_administration/licensing/files/HB125-Affidavit.pdf You send all forms in with a check for $35 and they will email you your license. She sent hers in and got the email with license within just a few days. I'm working on mine now.

Ok. Now that almost everyone is filling out these forms and one has for you to give the name of your farm I would love to know what y'all are calling your farm. If you fill like sharing that info. :) Our's will be The Peck 'n Stay Farm. Something my DH came up with. A friend of mine says it sounds like B&B for chickens. LOL!
