that rooster was a TRIP, he'd fight his warped reflection in the chrome bumper of my truck. The wife had an oval mirror in one of her flower beds for the birds, until he found it and broke his reflection into a couple hundred pieces, then walked around with his chest all puffed out like "I'm da MAN, yeah I'm DA MAN"

We asked about the store food scraps years ago. The health department makes them throw it away. If they gave you scraps and leftovers and you took it home and ate it instead of giving it to your chickens and you got sick, it's a big lawsuit, so they made it a law that you can't give that stuff to anyone. It has to be tossed. It's sad to be so wasteful..but, everyone wants to sue everyone now adays....so it is what it is.

Went to the swap today, Got up at 5, drove down to meet GAchickennewbie, then drove the 2 hours to the swap. Sold my little showgirl rooster to a cute young boy, and sold all my chicks. Only sold one dozen hatching eggs. I was upset with "Bob" because he told me he would bring me a new showgirl and then forgot to bring them! Bummer. The trip was duel purposed as we picked up 100 junipers for the house at a nursery down in McDonough that gave us them for half price. Had a nice visit and lunch with GAchickennewbie. Of course, I let her sit in the front seat with DH...hahhahahaha....she may never want to go again! tee hee hee! DH tried to 'cure' her the whole trip! As if that wasn't enough to make us tired, as soon as we got home, the renter kids all ran to the car and wanted me to show them everything chicken!!!! Had to candle the eggs for them, too! Then, had to unload the car and feed the dogs and chickens, gather eggs and then go fix a fire for the renters! Really really tired! But, it was a good day!

So I decided to throw something together for the equine critters. Mostly stuff that I had lying around. Had to buy 3 2x4's and the siding.

Moving the little goat run-in out of the way.

A little prefab action taken over to the site.

Getting closer

And closer
