I figured as much. Precisely why I asked y'all for help first.

Ah.  I would get them if you were closer.  Long drive for chicks.  Of course they'd be half grown by the time I could work driving up there into my schedule.

Yep.  Just turn off the turner and leave them be.  They won't know the difference.

Sorry, Robo, I disagree on this one. I've read a lot of accounts where the little chicks, stumbling around after hatching, have gotten their legs caught in the turner and broken legs occur. Too many holes for young babies!

I'm working on it. I sent them an email, but no reply yet. The weekend of the 2nd is perfect for me, since April 29th is hatchday, and I'll have incubator space again. I just hope they'll still have some then.
I emailed them too!! and no reply I asked about quantities and if they were really only a dollar an egg. So yeah if your closer that would be good if you could bring them to the swap, I'd like 4 or should I get 6 what do you all think, what are hatch rates for these birds?

Look what my one of my girls gave me today, can you say epidural I bet she feels so much better!! and I also found an ooops egg and a soft egg shell, I have been only getting 3 eggs a day and I told the 4 hens someone wasn't doing their job well I guess she got the message!!

that went around the egg I wish I had an open bator cause I would try to get twins because that egg is so big they both would have room to develop

These are crappy pics of when they were 17 days old. At the time 2 had been in quarantines with a bout of wry neck (the 2 in question). Post #11 shows the 4 together at bedtime the other day. Dorothy is the one on top left. She's quite um... assertive. She's showing a slight bit of aggression, but it doesn't seem too over the top. I just assumed she's reasserting herself as top of the pecking order. Which is where she was before the wry neck. Blanche, the other quarantined bird was 2nd largest in beginning, at bottom of the order. Now, she's the biggest and vying with Dorothy for top billing. Dorothy's growth was a bit stunted at first from being so bad off, but she's getting huge quick. Her head is huge, her legs are thick... And Blanche is a giant. I've been keeping an eye on their hackle feathers and saddle feathers to see how they're coming in. 2 for sure are pullets. the others, not sure yet.

I am currently uploading 2 short Instagram videos to vimeo. Hopefully I can share that link successfully. The IG ones don't ever seem to work.
